Identifying Hot Information Security Topics Using LDA and Multivariate Mann-Kendall Test

چکیده
Discovering promising research themes in a scientific domain by evaluating semantic information extracted from bibliometric databases represents challenging task for Natural Language Processing (NLP). While existing NLP methods generally characterize the topics using unique key terms, we take step further more accurately modeling as finite sets of terms. The proposed approach involves two stages: identifying paper metadata LDA topic modeling; and, evaluation theme trends employing version Mann-Kendall test that is able to cope with multivariate time series term occurrences. results obtained applying this general methodology Information Security confirm its viability.

متن کاملMann-Kendall for autocorrelated data
The Mann-Kendall test is a commonly-used nonparametric test for time trend. However, the standard P-values obtained from it are based on an assumption of independence between observations (since the theory is that of the Kendall correlation). However, observations in time series are often autocorrelated: knowing that one observation is larger than the mean may tell you that the next observation...
متن کاملClimatic elements, discharge and groundwater trends over time using Mann-Kendall Test in the Mighan Sub-basin of Arak
This study was an analytical research across 84 meteorological stations, performed in the Mighan sub-basin over a fifty-year study period (1961–2011).This research seeks to answer the basic question of how declining streamflow, increasing temperatures, and fluctuation in precipitation have impacted water resource allocation in the Mighan sub-basin. The research method is analytical based on Man...

Kendall Rank Correlation Let (X1, Y1), · · · , (Xn, Yn) be a bivariate random sample of size n. The Pearson correlation coefficient provides an optimal measure of the degree of association between the X’s and the Y ’s when the sample is drawn from a bivariate normal distribution. The Pearson correlation coefficient is reasonably robust for many other distributions as well. The Kendall correlati...

abstract with due attention to importance of climate change and natural ecosystem sensibility of the study area, in this research have been studied the probable climatic departure from normal and the existence of trend in climatic time series is detected by statistical tests. the first on the basis of rank- method mann kendal, it is tried to identify of changes and then recognize their type and...
